Super nice spot for brunch. Quiet, calm and friendly. We had poached eggs with a side of avocado and hollandaise sauce, and the Pound omelette and were drooling for more. The sourdough was really fresh and delicious! The people working there were also really friendly and gave us some tips for what to do around Melbourne. Highly recommend.

Come on a Friday night for the fried chicken burgers... absolutely amazing little pop up that's happening each week. They do a vegetarian option which is super tasty too!

I spent some quality time at The Pound (AKA lb) some years back, escaping the Como Cinema between films at festival time. Back then I’d have been after a caffeine fix. A more recent visit was for breakfast, starting with that obligatory cappuccino and moving on to fruit toast and porridge, washing it down with hot chocolate. Glad to reconnect!

Owners are super kind and welcoming. I got myself their signature toastie, it was so good for something so simple. The dijon mustard really helps amplify and balance out the flavours of a regular ham and cheese toastie by cutting out the β€œgreasiness” one might expect. The bread they use also really good and has the right amount of chew and crunch, acting as the carrier for the other elements. I also had a strong mocha to go with this and can attest to the fact they make great coffee as well. Highly recommended if you happen to be in South Yarra.

The Pound Cafe is a great place for breakfast. The omelette with smoked salmon is excellent, and the coffee is good. The service is polite and the prices are reasonable.
